Vusi Ndala

Managing Director


Vusi Ndala is an accomplished and results driven emerging entrepreneur and a strategic management practitioner with an MBA in Global Business & Sustainability from ALTIS, Italy and a Diploma in Strategic Management from Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands. He also holds a Master degree in Philosophy specializing in Labour Relations Management, a B.Admin degree in Public Administration and an Honours degree in Public Management all three from the University of Pretoria. He gained significant corporate and business experience across various industries in his 20-year professional career as an employee, executive, leader and entrepreneur. He founded Mzilakatha Strategic Management Services headquartered in South Africa in 2009 specialising in strategic management advisory and consulting. The business, now renamed Ndalzen Group following a restructuring in 2016 and positioned as an investment entity, has investment interests in agro-processing, ICT, energy and construction sectors. In early 2011 he successfully started a medium-size bakery business based in the township of Diepsloot, North of Johannesburg that distributed freshly baked bread in the township and surrounding areas. He sold the bakery when he took his sabbatical leave to study MBA in Italy in September 2011.

He is an achiever of note. He has been awarded several accolades for meritorious service from both professional and community organisations. Chief among others are the Black Management Forum (BMF) Gauteng Manager of the year in 2006, Employee of the Year for two consecutive years in 2002 and 2003 by Sowetan/Hollard Achievers Club, UCSC International Scholarship Award, Nuffic Scholarship Award, NRF Scholarship Award and numerous in-house company awards and accolades while he still in the employ of various companies. Andre Jansen Van Nieuwenhuizen

Senior Manager: Food Science & Technology


Andre is a Process Engineer, Protein Specialist and Food Scientist with over 18 years of professional experience in the food and beverages sector in South Africa with 13 years research in processes to extract key components from Soy. He is a sought after speaker in food conference in South Africa with focus on Soy and Protein. He is a professional member of South African Association of Food Science and Technology (SAAFoST), an association for Food Scientists, Technologists and other Professionals serving the food and allied industries in South Africa. Other professional memberships include Institute for Food Technologists (IFT) and South African Society of Dairy Technology (SASDT).
He formed part of the team that formulated product for GAIN (Global Alliance in Improving Nutrition), a global NGO dedicated to supporting the use of food fortification and other strategies aimed at improving the health and nutrition of populations at risk. He has also formulated products for Tiger Brands, Free State High Performance Sector and other multinational companies in the food sector in South Africa.
His specialty areas are in novel extraction processes for natural products, product formulation, extrusion product design, extraction optimization, design of new sweetener & stabilizer blends, process design and optimization, plant design, cost estimation, sourcing and commissioning. Andre has done extensive work on cost effective formulations for feeding schemes. He is the founder and owner of AJVN Consulting and cofounder of ALA Nutri Fact to which is the shareholder in both.
